Spotlight: Visitation

Some of the behind-the-scenes heroes of Our Savior’s are the members of our Visitation Team. We aim to provide care and kindness to those in our congregation who aren’t able to make it into worship anymore. They typically visit the people they work with on a monthly basis.

Currently, there are 22 people who receive regular visits, Christian encouragement, and Holy Communion through our visitation ministries.

I (Pastor Ted) also provide monthly worship services with Holy Communion at three of the area care facilities as part of this ministry:

  • The Pines, second Thursday of each month at 2:00pm

  • Good Sam, third Monday of each month at 10:15am

  • Temperance Lake Ridge, third Monday of each month at 2:00pm

Please thank the members who care for our brothers and sisters who can’t be with us in-person any more: John Hansen, Jean Pike, Tami Meium, Becky Kruse, Marjorie Tobola, Mary Jacobsen, Marsha Carnahan, Judy Olson, Arnold Benson. I’m especially thankful for John Hansen, the Visitation Team leader, and his work in convening this group on a regular basis to check in and coordinate our ministry together.

If you know of people in our community who need this kind of ministry, please be in touch with John Hansen.
