Lutheran Voices: Chad Bird

People in our congregation listen to a diverse variety of different online sources when it comes to daily devotions, practical application of the Christian faith, and theology. While that can be a good thing, it also can also expose us to viewpoints that are at odds with the teaching of Lutheran Christianity. Thus, it’s important for us to center Lutheran voices in our daily walk with Jesus as Lutheran Christians. I’ll be highlighting some good online sources for daily devotions.

The first theologian I want to lift up to you is 1517’s Chad Bird. Bird has been a pastor, professor, and guest lecturer, and he has special expertise in the Old Testament. He leads people through a free daily Bible reading plan with video commentary along the way. He’s also the author of several books, all of which I would highly recommend.
